Julia is a Brooklyn based director of narrative and commercial work. After studying film and philosophy at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Julia first worked as a cinematographer and editor before fully transitioning into writing and directing. Her love for craft has influenced her desire to take nuanced creative approaches to the stories she tells.

Julia’s work has been recognized internationally, with projects spanning the documentary, narrative, music video and commercial spaces. Last year, her short documentary Andi was shortlisted for the Young Director Award at Cannes and this year she won gold for her narrative short script, Growing Pains. At 27, Julia has received recognition from the 1.4 Awards and the Berlin Commercial Awards for her directorial work for clients such as Columbia Records, the US Air Force, UMass and more.
